CAL Security Group provides security guard services in Los Angeles County with unarmed officers licensed by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS): yard posts near the ports in Wilmington and Carson, Downtown lobbies, Westside rebuild sites and open lots in Palmdale and Lancaster. Our office is at 1208 W Jefferson Blvd, just south of Downtown.
A guard at a cold-storage dock in Vernon spends the shift on trailer seals, driver check-in and forklift traffic. A guard in a Koreatown apartment lobby spends it on residents, deliveries and people who should not be upstairs. An officer on a vacant lot in Palmdale spends the night on fence lines and copper wire. All three carry the same state guard card, but their post orders have almost nothing in common, so we write them after walking your site rather than from a template.
CAL Security Group was founded by Chaudhry Younus, a U.S. Air Force veteran with 24 years in the security industry. We hold a Private Patrol Operator license from BSIS, and we staff unarmed posts only.

San Pedro, Wilmington, Carson and Long Beach sit around the San Pedro Bay port complex: container yards, chassis lots, truck parking and warehouses. Cargo theft and trailer break-ins drive the work, so posts here mean seal checks, truck logs and fence walks, often all night.
The Alameda Corridor runs 20 miles of freight rail from the ports to the rail yards near Downtown. Vernon, Commerce, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera and Downey along it are full of warehouses, food plants and cold storage. Expect dock supervision, gate logs and hot afternoons in summer.
High-rise lobbies, parking structures, mixed-use apartments and nightlife blocks in Downtown, Koreatown, Hollywood and Boyle Heights. The job is access control and calm de-escalation: tailgaters at garage gates, people sheltering in stairwells, crowds at closing time.
Santa Monica, Venice, Brentwood, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades and Malibu mix beach-town retail with hillside estates in high wildfire-risk terrain. Since the Palisades Fire in January 2025, many lots there are being cleared and rebuilt, and rebuild sites need gate control and overnight posts.
Alhambra, Monterey Park, Arcadia, West Covina, Pomona and Diamond Bar: shopping centers, medical offices, apartment complexes and business parks along the I-10 and SR-60. Owners here often run several smaller sites, which is where patrol checks beat standing posts.
Valencia, Castaic, Santa Clarita, Palmdale, Lancaster and Acton: business parks off the I-5 and SR-14, aerospace work around Palmdale, distribution buildings, open desert lots and ranch land. Sites are spread out and exposed, and summer heat shapes how an outdoor post is set up.
A fire watch order comes from the fire department with jurisdiction at your address, and in Los Angeles County that is not always the same agency. Inside the City of Los Angeles, including the San Fernando Valley neighborhoods, it is the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The unincorporated areas and many cities that contract for fire service fall under the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Long Beach, Glendale, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Torrance, Culver City and several other cities run their own departments.
The department's order sets the patrol interval and sometimes the log format it wants to see. Send us the order, or the inspector's name if nothing is written yet, and we patrol and log to it. If the interval looks lighter than that jurisdiction normally asks for, we will say so before the first shift rather than after an inspection.
