Security guard services in Oxnard for packing houses, cold storage and farm yards on the Oxnard Plain, warehouses on the truck routes to the Port of Hueneme, industrial parks near the 101, and retail at The Collection at RiverPark. Officers are unarmed, and every shift ends with a written report.

Oxnard sits on the Oxnard Plain, and the fields are part of the business district rather than a backdrop. Tractors, implements and irrigation equipment sit out in the open on ground with no fence line worth the name, which is why Ventura County agencies arrested 28 people in August 2024 over a run of tractors being stripped in the countryside between Oxnard and Camarillo.
The other half of the city is commercial: distribution buildings and yards near the harbour and the port road, retail centres that have drawn organised theft crews, and a downtown and harbour area with their own evening hours.
CAL Security Group carries a BSIS Private Patrol Operator (PPO) licence, and unarmed officers are the only kind we put on a post.
Agricultural theft does not look like a burglary. Equipment gets taken apart where it stands, or driven off a dirt road at 3 a.m., and nobody sees it until the crew arrives at dawn. There is rarely a door to lock.
The workable answer is patrol rather than a fixed post: timed visits at irregular hours along the access roads, with a walk of the yard and equipment line, gates checked and closed, and a written log naming exactly what was checked and when. Where equipment clusters overnight, a night officer during harvest weeks is often cheaper than one stripped tractor.

Open ground, equipment yards and cold rooms with produce moving at odd hours. Patrol along the access roads, gate checks and a log of what is parked where overnight.
Warehousing and trucking near the port road and the industrial blocks. Driver check-in, trailer and seal checks, and rounds between the rows after dark.
Warehouse security →Shopping centres here have drawn organised retail theft operations, including a county task force blitz at the Esplanade centre in January 2025 that ended in 15 arrests. Floor presence during trading hours and a written record police can act on.
Retail security →Boats, slips, restaurants and visitor parking, quiet midweek and busy at weekends. Patrol rounds along the docks and through the lots, logged by time.
Storefronts, offices and public buildings that close early. Lock-up rounds and shared patrol stops cover a downtown block for a fraction of a standing post.
Lock-up rounds →Carports and shared parking where vehicle break-ins turn up, plus new build sites holding material for weeks. Officers walk the levels or hold the gate, and log how anyone got in.
Construction security →Oxnard is about 52 miles west of our office at 1208 W Jefferson Blvd in Los Angeles. Other city pages close by, by straight-line distance:
Oxnard allows one free false alarm in a 12-month period. The second through fifth each cost $145, and an alarm user without a valid permit pays $145 from the first activation. Go past five in a year, or leave fines unpaid for 60 days, and the permit can be suspended or revoked with higher charges after that.
The alarm rules sit in Chapter 11 of the municipal code, under the article covering alarm systems. For a packing house or a yard with sensors across a wide footprint, one free activation is not much room. A patrol officer with your keys and codes attends, checks the doors and the perimeter, cancels the faulty ones and reports real entries to Oxnard Police.
On rates, unarmed guards in California bill at about $22 to $40 an hour on the open market, which is published market data rather than CAL Security Group's rate. Oxnard has no general city minimum wage, so the floor is California's $16.90 an hour in 2026, though the city does run a living wage rule that applies to certain city contractors. Agricultural patrol is billed per visit, standing posts by the hour, and harvest-season cover by the block of weeks you need it. See the cost guide for ranges by property type.
On a ranch, the route in matters more than the gate. Walk it with us once and the patrol plan writes itself.
Give us the address, the season or hours you need covered, and what has been going missing. The site walk costs nothing and the quote lists each post separately.
