Santa Ana is Orange County's seat of government and its densest city. Santa Ana requires an alarm permit from the Police Department at $45 a year, allows one false burglary alarm in a 12-month period without penalty, sends a non-response warning after the sixth, and stops responding altogether after the eighth.
