Security Guard Services We Provide

Our security guard services in Southern California come down to one question: does the property need someone there the whole shift, or someone who checks it on a schedule? Standing posts answer the first and patrol answers the second. Events, protection details and fire watch sit apart, because a date, a person or the fire code drives them.

Standing Posts

Someone on site for the whole shift. Choose a standing post when people, vehicles or goods move through one point that has to be controlled.

Unarmed Security Guards

A uniformed officer on one post for the whole shift: a lobby, a gatehouse, a loading dock or a sales floor. The post orders spell out who gets in, what gets checked and who gets called.

Reception & Concierge Security

An officer at the front desk who greets visitors, issues badges, signs for packages and keeps the lobby orderly, briefed for a customer-facing post rather than a gate.

Learn more →

Warehouse Security

Dock supervision, driver check-in, trailer and seal logs, and yard walks for distribution centers, cold storage and truck yards.

Learn more →

Construction Site Security

Gate control during work hours, then an overnight post or patrol after the crews leave, to keep tools, copper and equipment on site and trespassers off the scaffolding.

Learn more →

Loss Prevention

Uniformed officers on the sales floor and at the doors who deter shoplifting and document incidents, working within your store policy and California law.

Learn more →

24-Hour Surveillance / CCTV

An officer at your security desk who watches the property's own cameras, logs what they show and walks out to check anything that looks wrong.

Learn more →

Patrol and After-Hours

Someone who comes by, checks and moves on. Choose patrol when the property is closed most of the night and a full-time post would sit idle.

Mobile / Vehicle Patrol

A marked vehicle and an officer who visit on a set schedule, check doors, gates and lots, and log each stop, including parking permit checks on homeowners association (HOA) and apartment properties.

Learn more →

Lock-Up & Alarm Response

Officers who open and lock your building at set times and go out when your alarm company calls, so your manager does not have to drive in at 2 a.m.

Learn more →

Events and People

Coverage built around a date, a crowd or a person rather than a building.

Event Security

Door, bag-check, wristband and crowd posts for private parties, corporate events, concerts and festivals, planned from the site layout and the expected headcount.

Learn more →

Executive Protection / VIP

Unarmed protective officers who stay with an executive or guest through a visit, a public appearance or a day of meetings, with routes and venues checked in advance.

Learn more →

Short Notice and Code-Driven

Coverage you need because a fire department, a lease or the calendar says so, often with little warning.

Fire Watch Security

An officer who walks and logs a set route while sprinklers or fire alarms are out of service, or while hot work is under way, as the California Fire Code requires.

Temporary / Short-Term Guards

Guards for a few days or a few weeks: a building empty between tenants, a store closing, a staffing gap or a single event.

Choosing

Standing Guard or Patrol?

A post staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is 168 guard-hours every week. At the California market range of roughly $22 to $40 an hour for unarmed guards, that works out to about $3,700 to $6,700 a week. That is the right answer for a busy distribution gate or a residential tower lobby. It is the wrong answer for a closed office park where the risk is someone trying doors at 3 a.m.

Patrol and lock-up split one officer's shift across several properties, so each property pays for visits instead of hours. The trade-off is plain: between visits, nobody is there. Plenty of properties mix the two, with a staffed gate in the daytime and patrol checks overnight, and the free site walk is where we work out which mix fits yours.

Every service on this page is staffed with unarmed officers. Carrying a firearm on a post in California requires a separate BSIS firearm permit, and CAL Security Group does not provide armed posts. If a site needs one, we will tell you on the walk rather than send the wrong officer.
