Security guard services in Chino for distribution centers and trailer yards along the I-10 and I-15, industrial sites off Slover and Cherry avenues, and the shopping centers and HOA neighborhoods north of the 210. Officers hold guard cards from California's Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) and work unarmed.
Chino is changing use faster than almost any city in the county. Former dairy land on the south side is now The Preserve, where new neighbourhoods launched through 2026 and a community centre finishes in early 2027, while other former dairy parcels have turned into distribution buildings. Old open ground, new construction and finished warehouses often sit within a block of each other.
That mix produces three different security jobs: gate control at operating warehouses, night cover at active job sites, and patrol on land that is still waiting for a permit.
CAL Security Group carries a BSIS Private Patrol Operator (PPO) licence, and unarmed officers are the only kind we put on a post.

Streets of houses going up in phases, with lumber, appliances, wiring and fixtures delivered weeks before doors lock. Gate posts on delivery days, logged night rounds through the pads, and a record of every contractor who came through.
Construction security →Distribution buildings and trailer yards with long fence lines and few neighbours. Driver check-in, trailer and seal checks, rounds between the rows, and attention to the back fence rather than the front gate alone.
Warehouse security →Tractors, trailers and containers parked overnight in a region where organised cargo crews work the freeway corridors. Every unfamiliar tractor circling the yard gets logged with plates and a time.
Logistics security →Shops, restaurants and service businesses that close early and sit dark. Lock-up rounds and shared patrol stops cover a strip like this far more cheaply than a standing officer.
Retail security →Barns, tack rooms, trailers and equipment spread over open acreage, where fences are long and lighting is thin. Patrol timing that varies, plus a walk of the outbuildings rather than a drive past the gate.
Open ground collects dumping, stripped vehicles and camps before anything is built on it. Logged stops at irregular hours stop a parcel from becoming a regular destination.
Vacant property →Chino is about 34 miles east of our office at 1208 W Jefferson Blvd in Los Angeles. Other city pages close by, by straight-line distance:
Organised cargo theft across Southern California has been a running story through 2025 and 2026, and the Inland Empire's warehouse corridor is where a lot of it happens. In February 2026 a truck break-in at a Chino intersection was caught on a city traffic camera, which is a reminder that loads get hit in transit as well as in the yard.
A yard post is about routine that does not vary and paperwork that does not get skipped:
Chino requires alarm users to register for a permit under Chapter 5.46 of the municipal code, and false alarm fees begin at the third false alarm within a 12-month period. Amounts are set by City Council resolution and capped at what the programme costs the city to run. Keep the count climbing and an address can be declared a nuisance alarm or placed on non-response, which means police stop coming to it.
Chino runs its own police department rather than a county contract, so that non-response decision sits with the city. Private alarm response fills the gap either way: an officer with your keys and codes checks the doors and windows, cancels the faulty activation and calls Chino Police when there is a real entry to report.
On rates, published market data puts unarmed guard work in California at about $22 to $40 an hour. That is the market, not a CAL Security Group quote. Chino has no city minimum wage, so the wage floor is California's $16.90 an hour in 2026. Construction cover is priced by build phase, yard posts by shift, and patrol routes per visit. The security guard cost guide lists what each property type usually runs.
On a build, the weeks that need an officer are the weeks material sits on the ground. Send the schedule and we will match the hours.
Send the address, the hours you need covered and the problem you are trying to solve, whether that is a trailer yard, a job site off Sierra Avenue or an HOA pool. We walk the site for free and price it post by post.
