A remote site gets hit for two reasons: nobody is watching and nobody will hear it. Wire, conduit, fittings, batteries and fuel all move quickly, and the damage done getting them out usually costs more than the metal was worth.

Across California, unarmed guard work trades at roughly $22 to $40 an hour on the open market, and that range is published data rather than our price. Victorville has no city minimum wage, so the wage floor is California's $16.90 an hour in 2026.
Two things are different about pricing work up here, and an honest quote says both out loud. Distance between sites means a patrol route covers fewer properties per hour than the same route in Ontario or Fontana, so the cost per stop is higher. And summer heat sets real limits on what a standing outdoor post can do without shade, water and rotation, which belongs in the plan rather than in the officer's lap.
